Tattoo's, Renovating, and Birthday Weekends

Well, Matt & I had a really busy week. First, we had to finish up the laundry room. Tammie & Lyndon did the tile floor for us, which looks fantastic, and then we had to paint (See picture below). It took all week to finally get things put back together, but the end result was worth it! I don't have any "before" pictures, unfortunately, but we had ugly laminate and white walls before this mini-renovation.

Saturday, Mom, Dad, Drew & Meg came down to celebrate Mom & Matt's birthdays. We had a great time on Saturday; first, we watched the game (which clearly didn't turn out well, but we still love our boys despite them looking awful at the game Saturday). Then we went to Applebee's for dinner, which was wonderful (except for our very impersonal waitress) and delicious. After that sis and I headed out to get our tattoos. It only took the guy like 20 minutes to do them and they look pretty fantastic. It hurt pretty badly, not gonna lie. But we made it through! Here's the end result:
The blue & Red are really hard to see, but the "Rock" had blue filled in and the "Chalk" has red. They're way more pretty in person, but you guys shall see them soon!

Matt & I also went to Lowe's today to purchase new counter tops. Our teal-colored ones just weren't working for us, so we took advantage of their no-interest for 12 months and sale on corian. They said it should be installed and done in 3 1/2 weeks, but hopefully it'll be sooner. I'll post pics when they're done.

Other than that, not too much going on. Matt's birthday's been good. We've just been lounging around for the most part; nothing terribly exciting, as usual. I finished a couple more scrapbook pages, so hopefully I'll be done soon.

So I suppose I'm done, now. I hope everyone's having a great Sunday and are getting prepared for Monday. Good luck with that!! :-)

Rock Chalk!

  1. Love your updated laundry room. It looks great.
Also your tattoo looks great. You are braver than I am. I cannot tolerate pain.
    Love, Traci

  2. Hey sis, my tat still looks good, how about yours? Anita saw mine yesterday and freaked out, she loved it!!! Yay, for seeing you soon and partying it up all weekend!

  3. Yeah, mine still hasn't scabbed over. Maybe we ARE the only people on the planet that has happened to...haha!!
Mine looks awesome. I haven't got to show it off that much, so we'll have to tell just about everyone this weekend about our sweet matching tats.

Thoughts? Love to hear 'em.
