It's going to be LEGEN - wait for it -

and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second part is - DARY

I seriously love How I Met Your Mother. It is my newfound addiction.

Okay, so onto this past weekend.
Amazing is really all I can say.

F.R.I.D.A.Y.
First stop was Lawrence to have a burger at Five Guy's with Jared & his friends. I don't even like hamburgers. But when I heard that you can add anything you want to your burger - like mushrooms, maybe? - I was on that burger like donkey kong. Best. Burger. EVER.
So it's 9 o'clock [late, for me anyway], and I leave Lawrence to head to Overland Park for some quality time with the coolest friends in the world. And we stay up until 3 am.
Oy.

S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y.
Let's just say that the next morning was not pretty.
I was tired.
And hungry.
A trip to Bo-Lings [a carbohydrate massacre] took care of that problem really quickly.

And then we watched Skyline.
Quite literally the world's worst movie. But, definitely worth watching for the laughter that will surely ensue from the pure terribleness.

Laughter really is the best medicine because after finishing that movie, showering, and painting my toenails, I felt like a whole new person.

I love laughing. And it seems that trips to Overland Park to see my sis and BFF's are bound to have a giant helping of the giggles.

Sarah met Megh & I at Adam and Nicka's place to get ready. As soon as we were all beautified, we headed toward the plaza to meet for Beth's 21st Birthday.

Now, we all had to drive separate cars - less than ideal, yes, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it seemed that we all had something to do the next day that required such unnecessariality [yeah, I made up that word]. So Megh & I sandwiched Sarah's car [because we didn't want the city drivers to eat you up, Sarz] and rode to the Plaza caravan-style.

And imagine this:
we were late.

I know, that never happens.
Regardless, we got there, and immediately started playing a card game and listening to rockin' 90's music; a winning combination.

Our dinner Reservations at Brio Tuscan Grill were for 8. We soon came to find out that it was prom weekend for the majority of Kansas City High Schools.
And that they enjoyed coming to Brio for their 'Before-Prom' Meal.
So we got to see a lot of pretty, ugly, and a little slutty dresses.

Dinner was amazing.
And afterwards, we headed to Tom Foolrey's for a cocktail. Since we had one in our party that was under 21, they forced us to sit outside on the patio.
Um, rude.
The gals were slowly turning into popsickles [thankfully, I was wearing jeans, but it was still pretty nippy], so we all inhaled our drinks & headed back to the hotel.

From there, it was a lot of gal-chatter & more 90's music [awesome].
And the next morning we all got up, ate breakfast, & parted ways.

I don't have any pictures, but Megh does & I'm sure she will put them on her blog soon [hint hint].

 *** Coming Up ***
This weekend: Camping at Milford for Dad's Birthday
Helping Doug & Jo pack

And that, my friends, is all I have to report.
Hope you all had as fantastic of a weekend as I.

  1. Um, I don't know what movie you watched, but Skyline was AWESOME! My favorite part was the acting and when he turned into an alien and rubbed her face. That's love. Yay for camping this week! Another weekend that will keep on giving...CRABS!

  2. Well I didnt walk away with crabs so I'm not sure what you're talking about but rubbing salt on crabs only makes them more fiesty for the ocean I hear. And thank GOD I was sandwiched because I am not only a terrible driver but terrible navigator in big cities ( I know you all laugh inside and think its not a big city but when you graduate with 19...well its a big deal)
