13.1? No problem.
Alright, that's a lie. I was good up until 10 miles and it only went downhill from there. [and from that I only wish I meant that the course went downhill from there. That did not happen.]
I circled in red me crossing the finish line [while fist pumping, because that's how I roll]. It's hard to see me because I'm miniature-sized compared to most people in the race. Those kids running beside us don't count. That was just a fluke. [Actually it was a school-wide running initiative that finished up today during the race, which was pretty cool!]
Mom, Dad, Adam, Megh & Matty came to watch Nicka and I finish. It was such a relief to cross that finish line. I jokingly said I was going to pass on by mile 11. 12.1 came around and my leg muscles were screaming for mercy.
But I did it.
I crossed that GD finish line and felt like a million bucks!
I have many more pics (thanks to Adam, Mom & Dad), as well as pictures from the MS walk that I will get to tomorrow and post.
It was so great to see everyone this weekend! Love you all and thank you so much for your never-ending support.
Lots of love

ReplyDeleteGood Job Girly! I wish I had your willpower to get my FA off the couch and do something. Maybe next year we can do the mud thingy you were talking about :)
