Pumpkin Fail

K, so this weekend, I traveled to Topeka to support my little bro in his travels to Independence, KS for Neewollah. Yes, the reminiscing was fabulous, as was being a band groupie for the weekend.

The did fabulously.

They received a 1+ in parade Marching [a.k.a. the BEST score you can get], and a 1 in Field performance. They also received "Best in Class" for the 5a division, and they SHOULD HAVE won best overall, but were cheated.
[just sayin']

We carved our pumpkins 2 Sundays ago in the spirit of Halloween.
Before:
After:
I'm not gonna lie, people, it didn't end well.

This picture was a week after the original carving.

That's what you get for purchasing produce from Walmart.
A whole heap of disappointment.

So once we got past the tragic loss of our pumpkins, we realized that there were more important things in life:
candy.

You see, this is why I love Halloween...

No extravagant decorations,
No searching for gifts,
& No Black Friday Shopping.

Just some good 'ole fashioned trick-or-treating.

We had a fabulous 2nd Halloween together & got lots of trick-or-treaters.
And Jade made for a yummy hot dog.
That's pretty much all I've got for right now.
As for the rest of my week......

LESS THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR NEW YORK!!!!!!!!
annnnnnnnnnnddddd........

KU BASKETBALL!!!!

I never thought this day would come.

*sigh*

rockkkkk chalkkkk,
