Jayhawks, Springtime, & Fiber One Muffins

Unfortunately I don't have any new pictures to add as my camera is currently out of commission. New things to report:

My boys played, what I will try to put nicely, a crappy game this past Saturday. UNI played a fantastic game. The end result? The upset of the tournament. So March Madness is now back to just plain-boring-old-March and I am left sitting here, waiting for next year's Basketball Season to start. It was a great season - one worth remembering - but not the season. Next year, boys. The championship is calling our name. Rock Chalk!

I have officially lost 10 pounds! *cheers & clapping in the distance* I cleaned out my closet of all the clothes that don't fit me anymore, which is more than I thought there would be. There will be an assortment of nice clothes in the garage sale that are less than gently used thanks to my stepping down a size in shirts & jeans. Hooray! I'm very excited about this if you couldn't tell already. I took a trip to Old Navy this weekend to purchase some new work pants for myself and Matty. They have a lot of really cute clothes & I had to tear myself away from the store before I made a dent in our bank account! haha.....but I managed not to, and still walked out with some cute stuff.

Only a couple weeks until the 5K in Overland Park. I'm very excited, but a little bit worried that I won't be as prepared as I want to be. (I slacked off after my teeth-pulling) I did run 3.1 miles on Sunday in 33:01 minutes, which is less than the estimated finish time I turned in when I registered online. The only problem is that I was on a treadmill, tracking my mileage and going as fast as I think I could go. I'm going to start running outside in order to get the feel of how fast I need to be going (without the treadmill telling me) to beat my time.

Matt & I's counter-tops look fantastic! Again, I can't currently give you pictures, but I'll try to take some tonight with Matt's phone (which has a better camera on it than mine) so you can see how lovely they are. The integrated sink looks super classy and the color looks great with the white cabinets. Love it!

I just dropped off Jade at the vet to get shaved...I know it's a tad bit early in the year, but frankly, I just couldn't stand all the hair around my house. It's driving me insane! (imagine that..) So I figured since the 10-day forecast says it's supposed to be in the 60's for most of the week, that she'll survive getting a haircut early. I took her for an hour-long walk yesterday and she was incredibly excited, so I think I'll have to make a habit of doing that every night.

They gave her a bandanna. SO Stylish!!

Matt & I started a puzzle. Yes, we're that couple. But, we like it. And, if it helps, it's a puzzle of a Big Mac, so that makes it a little cooler..

Not much else to report; going to take it easy this week & enjoy this beautiful weather!! I hope everyone's having a great start to their week & make sure to cheer on the Wildcats on Thursday!

Rock Chalk,
Mal & Matt
